Different alternatives exist to the route now presented for the original railway - safer options that put neither homes nor monuments in danger like the Pedrera or the Sagrada Familia - put down to "economic reasons":

OPTION 1: VALLÈS ROUTE
Unite the Sants' Station and the future Sagrera Station by the Vallès route.

OPTION 2: ARAGÓ STREET
The subway line would go under Roma Avenue - Aragó Street - Sagrera Station, sufficiently wide as not to effect homes. Proposed by catalunyaaccio.org.

OPTION 3: LITORAL ROUTE
Make the train go by litoral, where it will not effect housing and where the abandon railway infrastructure actually already exists. Proposed by avepellitoral.info.
