Shakespeare Wants Young Leicester City Players Follow Cristiano Ronaldo’s Trail, What’s the Problem?
Craig Shakespeare hopes Demarai Gray can behave just like Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo, who was able to respond to scathing criticism early in his career. Shakespeare sees great potential in Gray that can still continue to grow for the better.
Gray is in demand by Bournemouth and Crystal Palace during the summer transfer window yesterday. But The Foxes rejects all offerings addressed to his young players, because Shakespeare still has confidence in his potential.
Shakespeare feels very confident that the club is getting closer to the new contract approval with Gray. Member of England Under-21 is brought by The Foxes from Birmingham City in January 2016.

Gray still needs experience
Many questions appear and addressed directly to Gray, who has scored three goals in 61 appearances. But the Fox manager feels that the 21-year-old player can follow in the footsteps of a four-time Ballon d’Or winner, Ronaldo.
“Remember Cristiano Ronaldo? When he first came here, people criticized him for the same. As the game progresses and experiences, it will come soon, “Shakespeare said in a press conference session.
“If your opponent places two defenders to face you and you try to beat them at a time, then you have to find another solution. That’s what soccer is like, looking for the right solution to give the moment. ”
“The contract is in process, its representatives are in talks with our soccer director and I hope it will be finished soon,” he concluded.
The less convincing appearance of Gray, indeed makes it hard for Shakespeare to give him a chance. Noted he played only five appearances as a substitute in the English Premier League this season.
If Gray really wants to get his position back, he needs to beat the new Kelechi Iheanacho winger who was imported from Manchester City. There is also Shinji Okazaki whose performance is more consistent in every game. (Source: Sky Sports)
